CEREC® Dental Crowns in Kerrville

CEREC® crowns do not take two or three dental implants to complete. CEREC® crowns are made in Dr. Carroll Butler’s office while you wait and require no messy impressions or uncomfortable temporaries. As a result, you don’t have to wait for weeks.

What are CEREC® Crowns?

CEREC® is a remarkable chairside procedure that Dr. Butler uses for dental crowns and dental implants. Strong and sturdy CEREC® is completed in a single dental visit. CEREC®, short for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, uses computer-aided design and computer aided manufacturing technology, also known as CAD/CAM.

Traditional Crowns versus CEREC® Dental Crowns

Traditional crowns can take two or three dental appointments and are not as comfortable as CEREC®. Not all dental offices in Kerrville provide CEREC®. In fact, Dr. Carroll Butler is one of a handful who is a preferred CEREC® provider. Unlike traditional crowns, CEREC® dental crowns look and feel like natural teeth and are just as strong, if not stronger that conventional crowns.

The CEREC® Process

Because the entire CEREC® process takes about two hours to complete you are saving time and money. After Dr. Butler and his team take digital impressions of your smile, the images are sent to a computer where the CEREC® software does its magic.

When the crown is ready, it is sent to the in-house milling machine for manufacture. Once complete, the CEREC® team will paint and glaze the crown to match your natural teeth. After the tooth is temporarily placed, it is checked for fit and color before being bonded into place.

The Advantages of CEREC®

  • The Whole Procedure Takes about Two Hours
  • No Messy Impressions
  • CEREC® Looks and Feels like a Natural Tooth
  • An Accurate Fit
  • They can last for 10 to 15 years or Longer
  • No Temporaries
  • Less Post Op Sensitivity
